It’s an indoor greenhouse environment packed with rare orchids, bromeliads, and other epiphytic plants — the same collection that makes Selby internationally significant, but under glass, meaning weather outside is a non-issue.
The air is warm and humid by design, which makes it an interesting contrast if you duck in during or after a Florida downpour. It’s a smaller, more contained visit than touring the full outdoor gardens — twenty to thirty minutes is enough to see the highlights, though plant lovers will happily linger longer.
